HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL SOCIETY OF CLAY COUNTY——dedicated to the preservation of the history of Clay County and presenting its rich heritage with exhibits and programming.
HCSCC is located at the City of Moorhead’s Hjemkomst Center. The organization manages the museum at the Center and provides interpretation of theHjemkomst Viking Ship and the Hopperstad Stave Church replica.
In 2009 the Clay County Historical Society and the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Cener merged to form the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County. Our mission is to collect, preserve, interpret and share the history and culture of Clay County, Minnesota.
