Join us Thursday and hear from the Addie's Sunshine and Treats.
Addie’s Sunshine and Treats is a mobile ice cream cart and bake sale initiative dedicated to making the community a sweeter place while creating inclusive job opportunities for young people with disabilities. Volunteers at the cart gain valuable real-world work experience, from operating a sales system to managing cash, inventory, and providing customer service. Addie addresses societal barriers by empowering people with disabilities to develop meaningful job skills, extending beyond typical roles.
In addition to serving frozen treats, Addie also bakes and sells her delicious homemade treats at The Sandbox Bar and Grill. All proceeds from Addie’s Sunshine and Treats are donated to Spread Your Sunshine, a non-profit that supports fun and engaging activities for children facing financial or health challenges.
The MBA Non-Profit Connect was created by the Moorhead Business Association with the idea of supporting both non & for profits. HOW? By bringing the two sectors together to learn, share, and grow in a friendly, all-inclusive atmosphere.
