------------ THIS WEEK on July 19th: Anna Sather, Executive Director Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley (RRV) provides employment for individuals with disabilities on a beautiful 30-acre farm located 5 miles north of Moorhead. They teach them new life skills while providing employment opportunities that give a sense of accomplishment & belonging. Also, on this property sits a greenhouse, strawberry patch, large pole barn, and a 6-acre garden. Farm in the Dell RRV was founded in 2012 by a group of parents that were concerned for the future of their children with disabilities. These parents wanted their children to continue to thrive, learn, and be as independent as possible after they aged out of the school systems. After learning about Farm in the Dell International, these parents advocated to bring a chapter to the FM Area. Since that time, due to the incredible support of the community, very dedicated volunteers, and the tireless efforts of board members, their farm continues to grow & develop!"
Anna is fairly new to her job at Farm in the Dell, but not new to the farm, or farming in general. She grew up on a farm, tending to flowers and gardening. Her husband and children have been involved with Farm in the Dell through volunteering and a passion for its mission. Come out and HEAR HER STORY!
