CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY Every Thursday from 6-9PM: September 14 - November 16.
It is important for citizens to understand the policies, procedures and protocol of the Police Department, as well as what it is like to be the men and women sworn to protect and serve this community.
It is equally important for the Police Department to learn about the concerns and needs of the citizens they serve. The Citizens Police Academy is a great way for that to happen!
During the academy, participants will: --> Use of force explanations and demonstrations --> Participate in mock traffic stops --> Watch a demonstration of the skills of our K9 units Plus learn about SWAT, Narcotics investigations, Community Policing, DWI arrests. . . and much more
