Liquor License Rebates, additional Clay County Relief Grants, and Expanded Service Options

Post Date: 01/13/2021 3:42 pm

  • Liquor License Fee Rebates: Moorhead restaurants, bars, and similar establishments holding liquor licenses will receive checks this week from the City of Moorhead rebating 6 months of their 2020 liquor license fees. This rebate recognizes the service limitations and hardships to our hospitality businesses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The rebates were approved by the Moorhead City Council January 11 and are being mailed now.
  • Clay County Business Relief Grants: Clay County is administering a new COVID-19 business relief grant program open to qualifying Moorhead and other Clay County restaurants, bars, gyms, and event spaces. Check to see whether your business qualifies and apply online at claycounty.gov. The deadline to apply is January 24, 2021.

Support for Moorhead businesses: State restrictions on restaurants, bars, and other places of public accommodation were loosened January 11 to allow indoor seating (while still following health and safety requirements). Residents and visitors, as you plan your activities, please support our business community to the extent you are able. Thank you!
