A native of the northern plains, Brent is the principal designer and fabricator for RUKI Modern. He has over 20 years of experience in various design disciplines, including architecture, furniture and interior design as well as graphics arts. Combined with this experience, he holds 2 degrees in design and planning, culminating in a Master of Architecture from Rice University.
Ruki Modern was started in an effort to develop sustainable, regionally adapted modern architecture. We believe that, at its best, design not only serves the immediate demands of the client, but also the long-term needs of the broader community. As we attempt to add to the beauty of communities we serve, our approach to regional design values the demands and opportunities of place over the whims of fashion.
We offer presentations to the general public to show the potential of this approach to design and construction and to gain perspective from members of this community.
