Urban Learning Circle (ULC) is a space for community members to access topics of urban design, transportation, and the future of cities. ULC started in 2015 as a way to talk about something that can often seem large, nebulous, and out of our personal control. Since its creation, we have hosted dozens of conversations with neighbors about urban design issues that affect our community.
By coming together as a community to learn and share, we have an opportunity to shape how our community is built.
The next Urban Learning Circle will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, 11am at The Rourke Art Museum, Moorhead.
The focus of the discussion will be around 1-way and 2-way streets. Urban Design Specialist, Mike Zimney, will share information about 1-way and 2-way streets and share examples of what we might learn from other cities that have studied these types of roadway systems. Come ready for a conversation as we explore the following questions:
How might the roadways enhance downtown Moorhead and surrounding neighborhoods?
How might the roadways better serve residents, businesses, and vehicle traffic?
What might these streets look like in the future?
Presentation and group discussion will take place from 11am to 12pm with more chatting after for those that are interested.
Please share this email with others who may find the topic interesting, those that have a connection to 1-way streets, and a vested interest in Moorhead.
RSVP at UrbanLearningCircle.comis appreciated but not required.
