This is a time that we gather each week to hear about what is going on in Moorhead and learn about a local company or area non profit. I know when I first joined the MBA I would look at the program and decide if it was of interest to me. After a short while I learned that taking time out of my week to meet with other business owners and community leaders helped me in my business. If you haven't been to one of our Wednesday morning "Let's Talk Business" breakfasts perhaps now is the time for you to consider joining us. Janessa Brandt is the Truancy Intervention Program (TIPS) Coordinator for Clay County. She is employed by The Village but the program is funded through many collaborative entities. They strive to make connections with students and families in order to address barriers to regular school attendance. There are 5 people employed through the program with offices our located in Moorhead Public Schools. Janessa and her team work very closely with school staff in order to figure out how they can best serve student's needs.
